Sumbul Khan, the founder of ShaSumz, is passionate about everything classic and vintage, she believes in wearing one’s history and culture. So in her work, you will see a spectrum of traditional hand embroideries and Zardozi work. Soothing tones of pastels and beige define her pieces, and even though she dabbles in genres such as bridal and couture, her specialisation is luxury pret. Sumbul Khan spent a wonderful childhood in Iran, and schooling in UAE & Oman before moving to Lucknow.

She had always loved fashion, details and designing and later began to chase her dreams. She completed her MBA from Faculty of Management Studies & Research, AMU and worked with IT industry in Oman. After marriage she moved to Lucknow and started pursuing her childhood passion for Fashion & Designing & started setting a vision for developing the atelier dedicated to Chikankari, which is now named as ShaSumz. She focuses on combination of intricate embellishments, attention to detail & flattering silhouettes.
